'Lost Girl' was written by Kimberly Bellflower.  It is a Samuel French title, presented by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals.

  • The first show in our 2022 season is “Lost Girl,” a gorgeous new play by the award-winning up-and-coming playwright Kimberly Belflower. “Lost Girl” follows Wendy Darling - the same Wendy Darling of J.M. Barrie’s “Peter Pan” - years after she returns from Neverland. Although faced with finally leaving her childhood nursery behind, Wendy remains fixated on her beloved Peter and the adventure she left behind. “Lost Girl” is a lyrical exploration of finding love, overcoming trauma and what it really means to grow up. BroadwayWorld Milwaukee said it “draws the audience in through this story we’ve heard a dozen times before, then winds up bringing the high-flying fantasy back to solid ground. It’s refreshing, bold, and brave to take such iconic characters into a new and very real place, teeming with the big, wild emotions of adolescence.” “Lost Girl” will be performed in July with a company of high school and college-age actors, under the direction of Lara Morton.

  • "In Summer," Fuse will host a multi-week workshop where kids 7-12 will learn all aspects of how to put on a musical, culminating in a performance of Disney’s “Frozen KIDS,” a 30-minute adaptation of the 2018 Broadway show and 2013 hit film. The production features all of the songs from the animated movie, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and EGOT-winner Robert Lopez. “Join Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Sven, and all of your favorite characters as they embark on an epic, ice-filled journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and the meaning of true love. Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favorite Frozen songs such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the Broadway production.

  • Our 2022 season concludes with Jason Robert Brown’s song-cycle “Songs For A New World. The first show from Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, “Songs” is a beloved evening of songs that introduce the audience to a wide variety of characters — from a political prisoner to a scorned socialite, a promising basketball star and the worried mother of a missing soldier — each facing a scary and exhilarating crossroads in their life. Featuring a “small, powerhouse adult cast and a driving, exquisitely crafted score,” “Songs” is the perfect way to end Fuse’s first in-person season. A new world, indeed.
