Hot off of the astounding success & artistic achievement of our Covid-safe production of Disney 'The Lion King Jr.', FUSE Theatre of CT, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, is beyond excited to announce our next show:

William's Shakespeare's enchanted comedy

'A Midsummer Night's Dream' 

Directed by Lara Morton (FUSE' 'Lion King Jr.', Handful Production's FOCUS Teen Improv) and featuring an original score by Connecticut-based composer/lyricist & musician Lydia Arachne ( Semaphora the Band ), this COVID-safe digital production will pull out all the stops and surprise and delight all who experience it!


Auditions are Saturday, September 12th from 1-6 p.m. and on Sunday, October 4th from 11-4 p.m. [on Zoom] for actors and dancers ages 12-20. All roles are open.

Callbacks will be scheduled as needed.  Casting announcements will be made no later than October 11th, 2020.

Once we have received your digital audition packet, you will be contacted by our stage management team to schedule a 15 minute slot to audition with your choice of 2-3 contrasting character monologues (MONOLOGUE SELECTIONS HERE) before our casting panel. 

 

Memorization is recommended but not required.  It is STRONGLY SUGGESTED that you be very familiar with your monologue material and have done some research into your characters and the play.

SINGERS AND DANCERS

There will be a strong dance/movement element in the play, so please be sure to highlight your dance experience. There is also some singing for certain characters, so please indicate your vocal experience if interested in showcasing that particular talent.

 

COVID-SAFE THEATRE INITIATIVE

We will do everything in our power to ensure our actors' safety through the uncertainty of this time.  For this production, rehearsal and filming will be either online or on location in small groups (masks, distancing, hygiene enforced) in West Haven, Woodbridge and Madison, CT. 

 

COST FACTORS

There is a $240.00 participation fee for this production, which will premiere via streamed broadcast in the spring at a date TBD.

 

FINANCIAL AID & PAYMENT PLANS

Sibling discounts of 25%, monthly payment plans, and partial scholarships for family hardship circumstances are also available by application (please send your inquiry to fusetheatrect@gmail.com and we will direct you from there). All inquiries will be treated with utmost discretion and will not influence casting decisions.
